So Halloween is around the corner, and you and your significant other are trying to pick out your costumes! A lot of fun can be had when you go dressed as a pair, but it can sometimes be hard to figure out what to wear. That’s where this guide comes in, we’re here to help you pick out some unique couple costumes!

With the release of the Twilight series in 2008, vampires are a guaranteed hit. You can dress as a male and female vampire couple. Dark, black clothes are a must for this look. Pale white face makeup should be used to whiten out your faces, and red lips with dark eyes help make both of you very vampireish. Splashes of red should be used in your costumes when possible. Tall black leather boots work great, and, of course, fangs are a must. You’re not restricted to classic vampire dress with a cape and all unless you want to be. Gothic era dresses are one of the coolest choices for a vampire, and don’t even have to stick to the red and black theme. Black and white dresses can look awesomely vampire as well.

The Wizard of Oz makes for unique couple costumes. Consider going as Dorthy and the Cowardly Lion! A simple blue summery dress with shiny red heels, and ribbons in your hair are enough to pull off the Dorthy look. Any softer, cuter lion costume will do, since next to Dorthy, it will be obvious that the lion is supposed to be the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz. With this awesome combination, you two will be skipping down the yellow brick road together and everyone will love your costume choice!

If you’re both into Star Wars, a Princess Leah and Luke Skywalker combination is easy to pull off. Princess Leah’s hair is her most distinguishing characteristic – pull that off, and you’re set! A simple white, flowing robe over your clothing with some black boots, and you’re all set! The same sort of white robe over white pants, a black belt, and brown or creme tall boots works great for Luke. Be sure to pick up a light saber and a couple of laser pistols to stick in your belts for authenticity.
